Farming is a way of life

Generations of Experience

Walking the land, watching the weather, checking the rain gauge, tending the animals, amending the soil, planting, harvesting, preserving, it’s in our blood.

The Family Farm

Palas Farms started as a small mixed farm in Manitoba four generations ago, milking cows, growing grain, and raising kids.  Today, after living too long in the city, we are re-discovering how to farm under the invaluable guidance of my dad, swapping grass for gardens and building space for sustainable food production.

The Farm Stand

Our Farm Stand is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 4pm as well as most holidays.  There’s sourdough bread, microgreens, eggs, and a selection of other goodies available each day until they are gone. Contact us for special orders.  Note: We need 2 full days notice for sourdough bread orders.

The Farm Stand will be closed from December 24th – January 17th.

A Labour of Love

There’s no denying farming is hard work, yet it is also deeply satisfying.

There is nothing like the smell of a freshly pulled carrot, the taste of a sun-ripened strawberry or a lunch of thick slices of tomato on warm sourdough bread.  It gives us great pleasure to share the bounties of our little farm and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
